I’ve got news!

Big News.

Really, really BIG NEWS!

Here’s a hint:

No, I’m not pregnant. {Ha!}

Limemade Designs made it into the holiday gift guide of Pregnancy & Newborn magazine!!

See?! See?!  Lookit!

Isn’t that cool?  I’m so excited.  I mean, really excited.  I mean, like I got the confirmation email and started bouncing in my chair and yelling “Shut Up! Shut Up!  Shut Up!”  {Not my most intelligent choice of words, I know. }  I was loud enough that George yelled in from the other room to ask what I was saying. 

So here’s how it went.

Way, way back in the summer I was asked to submit some photos of my camera strap cover to be considered for the gift guide.  I was totally pumped, so of course I sent them in right away.  They said I would be notified if my product made the final cut.  Then I never heard anything back.  So I just mentally shrugged and didn’t even think about it.  I’m sure they got several submissions.

But.

On Tuesday at lunch I checked my email.

And there it was.

A note thanking me for participating, and links to the pdf versions of the page!  Aack!  I was ecstatic.  On cloud nine!  I needed to get a copy of the magazine, stat.

So Wednesday morning Ginny and I took a field trip to Barnes & Noble and picked a couple copies up.  It was so fun to see something I made right there on that glossy page.  I was bursting to tell someone so I made the cashier look at it.  She was so nice and totally humored me.

So this obviously means I’m totally famous.  {Er, or my camera strap is.  Kinda.}  Feel free to be excited that you knew me before I got all famous.  {Hahahaha!!! I can’t hardly even type that without smirking.  Yeah, right.  SO NOT famous.  }

Anyways, I was pumped.

You can tell by my obnoxious over use of what Helen calls “excitement marks”. Also, yes, yes, I did take those terrible pictures of myself.  With my DSLR in one hand and the magazine {BFF} in the other.  That’s why they are such awesome pictures. {NOT.}

In other news, my stupid comments are still not working.  But I am getting them from you all, and reading each one.  So thank you!  Keep them coming.  It makes me smile to hear what you have to say back to me.

Also, the Scrabble tile pillows have been delivered to their adorable owner, and I will be posting the tutorial next week.  Time is always harder to manage when Joe’s out of town, so I didn’t get a chance to write it up yet.

And finally, I finished up a super fun set of stockings and a tree skirt {late} last night, and I am hoping to have a tutorial on how to make those for you next week, too!

Yay!
