Oh man. I even cuted up my iPhone!

The Quick Change Case copy

Yup.

I’m obsessed.

I’m completely obsessed with cuteing up all my stuff for the new year.

My iPhone included.

{Actually I cuteified it up for Christmas, too. I couldn’t help myself!}

I think we can all agree that I am not down with the plain white phone business.

I needs me some COLOR, friends!

I know.  I’m a little nuts.  It’s ok. :)

Anyways, do you want to know how to make a cute,

QUICK CHANGE iPHONE CASE

for yourself?

You DO?!!  Yay!!

I can show you how!  It’s really, really easy.

Here’s how I did it when I made the Christmas case:

First I purchased a case that had a clear plastic back plate from here. You may be able to find it locally, also, especially if you have the newest version of the phone.  I looked, but I don’t have the fancy schmancy number 5, so they just didn’t have any for my phone at the store. :D

Here’s what it looks like:iPhone case-3

Then my awesome husband created a file for my silhouette that would cut the exact shape of my phone. If you’d like a copy of that file to use for yourself, contact me, and I’ll send it to you.  Otherwise you could easily trace your phone to get the correct size, then cut it with scissors or a craft knife.  Don’t forget the camera hole!iPhone case

Then I just loaded my cute paper on the carrier sheet and let the cutter do it’s thing.iPhone case-2iPhone case-5

It came out perfect!iPhone case-6

I just popped it right in the case and flipped it over to see how it looked.iPhone case-7iPhone case-8

Cute, but not as fun as it COULD be!!

So I went back into my program and asked it to cut out the words Merry Christmas for me.iPhone case-9

I tried to have it cut through this super thick AWESOMELY SPARKLY green cardstock, but it was a big fat failure.  Bummer. It was just too thick for such an intricate design. Boo.iPhone case-10But then Joe had a great idea to cut the plaid paper and put the green behind it!

So i traced the piece it had already cut onto the back of the sparkly paper and cut it out by hand.

{I flipped the paper over before I traced it so that the hole would match up.}iPhone case-11

Then I just glue sticked them together.  {And let it dry for an extra long time to be sure it wouldn’t get on my phone!}iPhone case-12Cute, right?  Totally made me happy every time I whipped out my phone during the holidays.  :)

I kept an extra without the words, too, just in case I wanted a cozy winter look for my phone even when it isn’t the season to be jolly.  iPhone case-9-3

Then, last weekend, BECAUSE I JUST CAN’T STOP MYSELF, I made a bunch more!iPhone case-8-2I just used all cute papers I had here already.  {See Joe?  Hoarding craft supplies, SAVES us money!}

I kept one of each paper with out any lettering, and then made one with limemade on it, too.

Just for fun.

I had a hard time picking which one I wanted to kick off the new year with, but I finally decided on the stripes.  It had lime squeeze and pink.

It really doesn’t get a whole lot better than that in my {crazy} world.  :) iPhone case-6-3

Now that you know what to do, go make your own!  Then come back and show me!

 Hey!  Guess what?!  My friend Abbie liked this idea so much I was:
