Hey friends! Just popping in quick to show you a project I made over the weekend {While the Packers were stomping on the Vikings. Ahem.}.
It’s UPCYCLED.
See my use of that trendy word? I know. I don’t really recognize myself either. Trendy, I am not.
Whatever.
Basically I just reused something I already had ’cause I couldn’t bear to let it go.
See, for some reason we havent figured out yet, the girls’ room is always 10 degrees different in temperature than the rest of the house.
Ten degrees in the wrong direction.
Ten hotter in the summer and ten colder in the winter. Not awesome.
So last winter I made some cute flannel crib sheets for Ginny in the hopes that they would be warmer.
But since she and Helen share a double bed now, there’s no need for the crib sheets. {Sniff.}
But the fabric is adorable and I can’t help myself. I just can’t get rid of them yet. So I made them each a new pillow case out of the two sheets, plus an old pink gingham flannel baby blanket.
I used this tutorial I pinned here. It was super quick and fun. I’m definitely going to make a bunch more this way! So easy. I think we might need pillow cases for Christmas next year for sure!
I’ll have to show you the finished product on their bed another time. That room isn’t remotely ready for the blogisphere yet. Maybe this month. We DID promise Helen we’d redo their room for her birthday.
Last year.
In February.
Oops.
See you tomorrow for Insta Friday!
♥

So cute! You crack me up!
